A grounded list of named employers that have used HireVue, drawn from recent job postings, published case studies, and customer databases, with honest caveats and how to prepare if you get one.
HireVue is a one-way video interview platform: you record answers to set questions on your own schedule, with no live interviewer. Employers that have used it, per recent job postings and case studies, include Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Unilever, IKEA, Carnival, BP, and Humana. This is roughly 2023 to 2024 data, and processes change, so confirm with your recruiter.

What HireVue is, and what taking one is like
HireVue is the best-known one-way interview platform. You get a link, answer set questions one at a time on your own schedule, and record each response within a time limit. No live person is on the other end while you record. A recruiter, and sometimes software, reviews your responses later.
The important thing to understand is that “HireVue” is not one fixed experience. It is a platform that each employer configures. Prep time, whether you get retakes, how long your answers can be, and what actually gets scored are all decisions the employer makes, not settings baked into the HireVue brand. Two HireVue interviews at two companies can feel quite different.

Companies that have used HireVue
A note on how to read this list. The names below come from three kinds of sources, and each carries a different weight:
- Recent job postings (roughly 2023 to 2024) that explicitly named HireVue in the application or interview instructions. This is the strongest signal that a real role used it, though it still reflects one posting at one moment.
- HireVue’s own published case studies, where the company is named as a customer by the vendor.
- Third-party customer databases and review sites (such as customer-database aggregators and FeaturedCustomers), which record a company as a HireVue customer but give the least detail about how or when.
In every case, this is recent data, not a live feed. Hiring stacks change, vendors get swapped, and a company that used HireVue for one role may use something else for another. Always confirm with your recruiter.
Retail, hospitality, and consumer brands
- Amazon. A 2023 to 2024 posting for a Maintenance Technician role stated the video interview invitation would come from HireVue (interviews@hirevue.com), with seven days to record. See does Amazon use a video interview for more.

- AMS. An Early Career and Campus Recruiter posting referenced HireVue as part of existing Bank of America campus processes and systems.
- Emirates NBD, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking, and Great Southern Bank. Named in HireVue case studies and customer references.

If your employer is not on this list, that does not mean it does not use HireVue. The data here is a sample, not a registry. And if it is on this list, double-check anyway, because the role you applied for may run a different process than the one we found.
How to prepare if you have a HireVue coming up
The preparation is the same whether you are recording for Amazon, a bank, or a hospital, because the format is what matters, not the logo.
- Read the start screen first. It tells you the real rules for your interview: how many questions, how much prep time, whether retakes are allowed, and any time limit per answer. Those settings are employer-specific, so do not assume what a friend told you applies to you.
- Confirm the platform if it matters. If the invitation does not clearly say HireVue, you may be on a different one-way platform. When in doubt, ask your recruiter.
- Test your setup early. Quiet room, decent light in front of you, stable connection, working mic and camera. Do this before the day you record, not in the final minute.
- Practice out loud against the clock. Most answers run one to three minutes. Rehearse common behavioral and situational prompts so the timer does not rattle you.
- Know what to do if it breaks. Sessions freeze and links expire. If that happens, screenshot the error, note the time, and email your recruiter promptly. Most teams will reset the link.
